Jamshedpur: Former Chief Minister and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi today said the BJP lacked a strong leader to name him as the next CM candidate ahead of the Assembly elections in the state.
He said the BJP had announced the name of Narendra Modi as the PM candidate several months ahead of Lok Sabha elections.
But before the Assembly election, the party is unable to declare names, he said.
Marandi, speaking to scribes at Circuit House on his return from a party activists’ conference in Ghatsila, said the BJP was under fear that its CM probables could be rejected by the voters.
“The fear of rejection of its available candidates has led the BJP to conduct pre-election campaigns in the states under the leadership of Narendra Modi,” he said.
Marandi said all parties had looted the state in the last 14 years. He said the JVM will put an end to the ‘loot raj’ by forming a majority government.
He said the election results will prove his claims right.
