BJP will form double-engine government in Jharkhand: Himanta Biswa Biswa

Ranchi, July 16:  Union Home Minister and Bhartiya Janata Party senior leader Amit Shah, determined to form a double-engine government in Jharkhand, has sent his best man, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, to plan and design a winning blueprint for the forthcoming Assembly Elections later this year.

The Assam Chief Minister reached the state capital on Tuesday to learn the shortfalls, which led to the loss of five Lok Sabha seats in the recent general polls, including the Khunti Lok Sabha seat, from where former Union Tribal Minister Arjun Munda was contesting.

In a brief conversation with the media, Biswa said that the BJP is confident of winning all assembly seats falling under the five Lok Sabha constituencies that they lost in the last Lok Sabha polls.

“It is sad that we could not win the five Lok Sabha constituencies. However, if elections are to be conducted now in the state, we are cent percent confident that we will win all the assembly seats under the particular constituencies,” said Biswa.

The Assam Chief Minister and elections in-charge of Jharkhand further added, “Though we lost the constituencies, we have gained voters in all the five constituencies.”

Biswa, after landing in Ranchi, met all BJP leaders from different wings to learn the current scenario. He also held closed-door meetings with the top leaders of the state and gave a crystal-clear message of what the saffron-top leaders are looking forward from them.

Soon after meeting with senior leaders, Biswa left for Khunti district, where he held closed-door and public meetings.

In Torpa block of Khunti, Biswa led a ‘Vijay Sankalp’ event and boosted all the ground party workers for the upcoming assembly elections.

According to reliable sources in the BJP, Biswa planned his first visit to Khunti as the saffron party was not expecting a loss in the Khunti Lok Sabha constituency.

“Today’s Khunti tour by Biswa is completely to identify the root causes that led to the party’s loss and accordingly make plans in the region to win three assembly seats,” added the BJP leader.
