Jamshedpur: Bharatiya Janata Party�s Vidyut Varan Mahato seemed headed towards victory by the end of 17th round of counting as he was declared to be ahead by his close rival, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha�s Dr Ajoy Kumar, by a margin of 1,12,000 votes.
Five more rounds will take place before final results. The BJP vote count was 3,60,013 by 2.15 pm while that of JVM was 2,55,550.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha�s Niroop Mohanty fetched 1,22,148 votes at third position. The counting of votes is on at Jamshedpur Cooperative College for the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency.
