Potka: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s wife and Gandey MLA Kalpana Soren during a public rally at Potka on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s tribal leaders stating that “they do not have the courage to demand the pending dues of Jharkhand from the Centre.”
Targeting the BJP’s tribal and backward class leaders, Kalapana said, “They lack the courage to demand Jharkhand’s pending dues of Rs 1.36 lakh crore from the central government.”
Kalpana further accused the BJP leaders saying, “They are more interested in Jharkhand’s mineral resources than in the welfare of its tribal and backward communities. BJP failed to recognize the suffering of the tribal woman in Manipur how can they listen to you.”
During the public meeting the Gandey MLA and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) star campaigner highlighted the achievements of the government led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
She said, “JMM government has implemented initiatives such as the CM School of Excellence, which provides quality education to children across the state.”
Kalpana added that the government has extended the universal pension scheme to 40 lakh people, provided housing benefits to 25 lakh under the Abua Awas Yojana, and assisted over 55 lakh women through the Maiyan Samman Yojana.
Kalpana asserted that while Hemant Soren is actively raising his voice for Jharkhand’s issues, BJP leaders have not succeeded in securing the state’s rightful share from the central government.
