Jamshedpur: In the run-up to the Mango Municipal Corporation elections, a significant meeting was convened by the Mango Sikh Sangat on Tuesday in support of BJP–NDA-backed mayoral candidate Sandhya Singh.
The gathering witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of prominent members and residents of the Sikh community, who collectively pledged their support to her candidature.
The meeting was attended by Arun Singh, National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party; Amit Yadav, MLA from Barkatta; and mayoral candidate Sandhya Singh. The leaders addressed the gathering and sought active cooperation from the community in ensuring a decisive victory in the upcoming civic polls.
Addressing the Sangat, Arun Singh urged members of the Sikh community to reach out to friends, family, and neighbors to spread awareness about the NDA’s policies and Sandhya Singh’s record of public service. He appealed to voters to cast their ballots in favor of the “Camera” symbol (Serial No. 10), emphasizing the need for a resounding mandate.
Highlighting the central government’s initiatives, Singh stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Sikh community has experienced a renewed sense of respect and recognition.
He noted that several long-pending demands have been addressed through historic decisions and a governance approach rooted in respect for Sikh traditions and heritage, thereby strengthening the community’s trust.
He further remarked that the BJP has consistently stood by society in times of both joy and adversity.
Praising the grassroots outreach of Sandhya Singh and Neeraj Singh, he said they have remained actively engaged with local residents on various occasions and have demonstrated sustained commitment to public welfare.
The meeting concluded with members of the Sikh community expressing confidence in Sandhya Singh’s leadership and resolving to extend wholehearted support to ensure her victory in the Mango civic elections.
