Jamshedpur : In protest against the rising cases of attacks on the traders and shooting incidents a delegation of district BJP met the senior superintendent of police Amol V Homkar and sought safety for the people.

Concerned over the situation a delegation of BJP led by district BJP president Rajkumar Srivastava met the SSP Amol V Homkar expressed concern over the situation. The delegation handed over a memorandum and sought security for the common people.

The city had been free from crimes, but now the `knife culture’ has taken roots. The murders at Mango are a glaring example. The police should act with utmost vigil and nab the accused.

The increase in crimes is a matter of concern. Thefts were a common but recent rise of cases of murders is serious, said the BJP leader.

He pointed out that despite claims by the district police for beefing up the policing in and around the city, the traders community continued to fall victim to the criminals.

Our city is gripped with criminal activities. We condemn the attack on innocent people in past one month or so. We have gathered here today to express out anger against the police administration,” said Kalyani Sharan.

It may be mentioned that figures show a substantial increase in the number of murders, thefts and robberies taking place across the city from past one month.

Nonetheless the rising cases of crime in the city have forced the business community to raise voice against the detracting law and order situation for additional security arrangements.
