BJP MLA Amar Bauri with Jamshedpur strings, rises in party ranks by dint of dedication

Jamshedpur, Oct 16: Amar Kumar Bauri, who has been appointed as the Leader of the BJP Legislative party in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, has a deep-rooted connect with Jamshedpur and maintains his strong ties with the city. His father, Ramanath Bauri, served as a constable in the Golmuri Police Lines. He shares a childhood friendship with Rajneesh Singh, the District Vice President of the Congress party, and Dinesh Kumar, former District President of the BJP in Jamshedpur.
Amar completed his education in the city, attending the Central School in Golmuri up to the fifth grade and then completing his high school education at Tata School. In 1994, he passed his high school examinations. He continued his education at Cooperative College, Jamshedpur, studying science up to the twelfth grade. Subsequently, he pursued a degree in the arts at the same college, followed by post-graduation studies.

During his time at Cooperative College, Amar developed an interest in student politics. While residing at Golmuri Police Lines, Amar’s neighbor was Congress leader Rajneesh Singh. Amar aspired to join the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and left Jamshedpur for further studies. It was during this time that he came into contact with prominent labor leader and late former MLA Samresh Singh, and subsequently, he became actively involved in politics. Chandankyari became his political arena, and he is currently serving as an MLA from this constituency for the second consecutive term.
Amar Bauri also served as a Minister in former Chief Minister Raghubar Das’ cabinet, holding portfolios related to land revenue, youth affairs, sports, tourism, and art and culture. He is known not only for his political involvement but also for his articulate speech. With a calm and serious demeanour, Amar Bauri consistently critiques the current government’s policies in the State Assembly.
Apart from his role as the leader of the BJP legislative party, Amar also holds the position of the State President of the BJP’s Scheduled Caste Front. Amar Kumar Bauri’s selection as the Leader of the Legislative party has sparked enthusiasm among BJP supporters in Jamshedpur. Former BJP District President Dinesh Kumar congratulated him, expressing that Amar Bauri’s appointment is a positive decision that will undoubtedly benefit the party. He believes, “Amar’s induction will infuse the party with new energy.”
