BJP-led government heralding birth of a fast-developing Jharkhand: MP

Jamshedpur: In a bid to spread greater awareness among the people of the city regarding the development works and achievements of the Raghubar Das-led state government, Jamshedpur Mahanagar unit of Bharatiya Janata Party organized Vikas Parv near Hotel Hira at Mango on Thursday.

It was Jamshedpur West assembly constituency level programme which saw participation of all prominent leaders of the party.

The programme started off with the garlanding of portraits of Swami Vivekananda, Pundit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee by the guests and party members. The chief guest of the programme was the MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato.

In his address, he said the state government was going to set up nine power sub stations under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Jyoti Yojana to pave way for uninterrupted power supply round-the-clock. He said the government was not only announcing new development and welfare schemes, but was also implementing them.

Mahato further said that the Central and state governments led by the BJP were weaving a network of roads across the country. He said the state would be connected to waterways besides a robust rail network to link it to other states. This would especially benefit the industries in Jharkhand, he said.

The MP said the people of Jamshedpur constituency would get relief from frequent power cuts and load-shedding in the summer season. He said water will be supplied through special tankers.

Mahato said the BJP did not believe in politics based on casteism and religion. Instead the party was committed to the cause of nations unity and integrity, he said.

Also present on the occasion, district BJP president Dinesh Kumar said the BJP was not against the Adivasis. Rather, he said, the party was the only political organization working for the uplift and development of Adivasis, he said.
Kumar said the Opposition parties had made it their tradition to oppose even the good work and beneficial projects of the ruling party and the state government.

He said that many people did not know anything about the CNT Act and the SPT Act, but still they claimed to lead the agitation against amendments in local land laws.

State BJP spokesperson Rajesh Shukla said the state government led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das had a clean image. The CM has successfully changed the face of the state in the last two years, he said.
