Jamshedpur, August 11: A significant protest erupted within the Jamshedpur BJP on Sunday as leaders and workers staged a sit-in outside the party office, expressing strong dissatisfaction with Mahanagar President Sudhanshu Ojha. The protest was triggered by the announcement of the new BJP Metropolitan Committee, which many perceived as unfair.

Protesters accused Ojha of corruption and favoritism in the distribution of party posts, alleging that the new committee favored certain individuals and overlooked deserving candidates. They also criticized Ojha for promoting a particular class and disregarding OBC, SC, ST, and Dalit communities, leading to claims of a lack of regional balance and merit-based appointments.

The sit-in, organized under the banner of “Jamshedpur BJP Bachao,” featured placards and slogans denouncing Ojha’s leadership. Aggrieved leaders also complained to the state BJP leadership, who assured that the issues would be investigated. The protest was resolved after the state leadership’s intervention, reflecting ongoing tensions within the party over internal appointments and organizational management.
