Ranchi: State BJP is facing opposition from within the organization in Jharkhand over the proposal to join hands with AJSU ahead of the Assembly elections.

Many senior party leaders and MPs have registered their protest with the party leadership at the national level.

Many party leaders and workers have even threatened to take to the streets in protest of the proposed BJP-AJSU tie-up. Sources said the protesting leaders mainly include MP Ramtahal Choudhary and former MP Yashwant Sinha.

Choudhary has written to BJP national president Amit Shah to express his disagreement with the party decision. He said the party activists are largely disappointed by the proposal. He said the party was capable of winning the election on its own. He said party activists should be given a chance to contest the polls.

The MP further said that the BJP had never allied with the AJSU earlier. He said the alliance should be discussed after the election results.
