BJP leaders meet DC over land dispute

Jamshedpur: Former district senior vice president of Bharatiya Janata Party Appa Rao and president of Golmuri unit president of the party Probir Chatterjee today led a delegation to the DC office to demand stay on any construction work at the Kavvali Maidan at Golmuri.

Rao handed over a memorandum to the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar to demand complete prohibition on the construction work. He said the construction should not be allowed till meaningful talks were held on the issues raised by him in connection with the alleged encroachment on the said ground.

The delegation members demanded that the DC should personally visit the disputed site and resolve the issue. The DC reportedly assured to take action in connection with the issue. Those who met the DC included Manjeet Singh, Bunty Agrawal, Mohan Kumar, Shailesh Singh and Chhotu.
