Jamshedpur : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday formally launched its manifesto at a function organised at party�s election office at Sakchi. BJP national vice president Raghubar Das, senior Saryu Roy were present on the occasion.
Addressing the media the leaders promised social and economic development of Jharkhand if voted to power in the upcoming state assembly elections.
The BJP manifesto for the 25 November to 20 December elections, released promised a three-pronged �total security cover� through food, education and health security.
It promised 35kg of rice or wheat at the rate of Rs.1 per kg, iodized salt at 25 paise per kg and other subsidized food items for every below poverty line (BPL) family; free technical education for students from scheduled castes (SC) and scheduled tribes (ST) families; scholarships for weaker sections; higher education loans at 1% interest for all students; free medicine for all in government hospitals; and government assistance for BPL families in case of serious diseases.
Additionally, it has also promised fast-track courts for corruption cases, industrial clusters, clearing delayed infrastructure projects and single-window clearance for ease of business. photo Jharkhand is going to poll beginning 25 November in five phases and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP is aiming to form the government in the state.
� Our party wants development of Jharkhand. The performance in the Lok Sabha is a clear indication that the voters are in favour of our party,� said Roy. �I think the party has shown its strength in the Lok Sabha elections. We are working to make sure that the winning streak is maintained in the Assembly polls,� said the firebrand leader.
Promising a stable Government in the State, Raghubar Das went on to add that BJP is dedicated to providing a transparent government in the State. It will not allow corruption to prevail in the State and promote development activities.
�We appeal to the people of the state to give us a clear mandate to avoid the role of independents. What happened when independents won in the last assembly is known to everyone.”
Stressing on the welfare schemes carried on by the party in Jharkhand, he said that NDA Government was governing the State quite well but Congress Party conspired to topple it.
He also expressed confidence that BJP will form the Government in the State.
