BJP leaders give clarion call to party workers

Jamshedpur: Bharatiya Janata Party leaders took potshots at the United Progressive Alliance government while shoring up support for the partys prime-ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and local candidate Vidyut Varan Mahato on Wednesday at a public meeting organized at Aam Bagan, Sakchi.

Addressing the gathering, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda said the entire country was overwhelmed by the call for making Narendra Modi the Prime Minister. He said the BJP was sure on its agenda in the Lok Sabha elections, but other political parties were not sure as to who was going to be their leader at the chair of the PM.

If you ask the candidates of other parties, they have no answer as to who will be their PM if they come in power at the Centre. But the BJP has an answer. It is Narendra Modi. This is why voters need to exercise their votes in favour of a party with definite agenda and policy for the nation, said Munda.

Vidyut Varan, addressing the gathering, said the BJP had played an important role in the formation of a separate Jharkhand state. The credit for a separate Jharkhand goes to former PM and veteran BJP leader Atal Behari Vajpayee, he said.

The former Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader and Baharagora MLA was all praise for the discipline within BJP. He said the voters should favour BJP for the bright future of the country.

The BJP leaders criticized Jharkhand Vikas Morcha candidate Dr Ajay Kumar for taking credit for installation of solar lights in rural parts of East Singhbhum. They said the MP had contributed just Rs 1 crore while four MLAs had contributed as much from their respective funds.

Raghuvar Das too, criticized Dr Ajay Kumar and asked voters to shun voting for candidates who had not done anything for the constituency.

Many other BJP leaders were present during the programme. They included Jamshedpur East MLA Raghuvar Das, former state BJP president Dineshanand Goswami, Potka MLA Menka Sardar, state BJP in-charge Vinod Pandey, former Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Rai, advocate Manoranjan Das, Laxman Tudu and Rita Mishra.
