BJP leaders demand crime control

Jamshedpur: Members of Bharatiya Janata Party, Sitaramdera unit, met the officer in-charge of Sitaramdera police station on Sunday and handed over a memorandum to him demanding action against thieves and gamblers.

The BJP leaders alleged that police inaction had led to a spurt in crime in the area. They said police should stop illegal activities like sale of illicit liquor, daily lotter, matka, sale of illegally acquired scrap and other organized crimes.

They threatened to go on indefinite agitation in case their demands were not fulfilled soon.
