Jamshedpur, Jan 24: District BJP spokesperson Ankit Anand has lodged a complaint against Hill Top school management with the Telco PS for allegedly exploiting guardians.
In the complaint, Anand alleged that the school had charged Rs 7500 on each student as establishment fee for the academic year 2018-19. Now the school is preparing to charge a similar amount in the name of maintenance for the academic year 2019-20, he said.
The school has deprived general category children of education in the name of quota meant for the children of company employees. It is charging hefty sums as admission and tuition fees. This is simply a violation of Jharkhand Education Tribunal (Amendment) Act, said Anand.
The BJP leader said he had met Telco police officials and sought to lodge an FIR against the school Principal Punita B Chouhan and certain other people associated with the institution.
Anand said if FIR is not lodged against the school Principal and other accused persons, a massive stir would be launched by Shiksha Satyagrah, which is fighting against exploitation of guardians by private schools in the city. He also threatened to resort to Gandhigiri at Tata Motors gate and before the residence of Tata Motors Plant Head Sampat Kumar after Republic Day to seek action against the school management.
