BJP leader attacked on way to Arjun Munda’s house in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov 2: In an early morning incident, Ram Singh Munda was seriously injured as two bike-borne men attacked him with an iron rod at Supudera under Parsudih police station area on Tuesday morning.


The victim Ramsingh (55) who is media in-charge of the state’s ST/SC Committee has sustained multiple injuries.


The victim was immediately rushed to Khashmahal-based Sadar hospital and later shifted to MGM medical college hospital for better treatment.
The BJP leader was attacked at about 8 am while he was riding his bike to senior party leader and Union minister’s house at Ghorabandha.

As a result of the attack, Ramsingh Munda’s left hand has been broken. 
OC, Parsudih police station Vimal Kindo said two persons had attacked Ramsingh near the Rajkiya Madhya Vidhyalay in Supudera.


“We are investigating the incident and trying to detect the attackers by taking out CCTV footage of the locality, but as of now we have not been able to establish their identity, ” said Kindo.

The OC said Ramsingh was attacked while he was going to Bawangora for buying vegetables, something the victim used to do every morning, claiming that they would detect the attackers.

“I am in the state of shock. Mundajee organises Kali Puja at his house every year and has come home in the night. I had also informed two of my party colleagues to reach at Mundajee’s house. But as I was crossing a turning near the government school, two persons waved me to stop. Considering that they must be in some kind of need I stopped there. But suddenly one of them started attacking me with an iron rod, ” recalled Ramsingh.
