BJP Jamshedpur workers condemn ruthless killing of descendant of Sidhu and Kanhu, demand CBI probe

Jamshedpur: BJP workers have condemned the ruthless killing of Rameshwar Murmu, the sixth descendant of Sidhu-Kanhu, who was the hero of the Hul movement. On Tuesday, Hull Day, BJP Jamshedpur Scheduled Tribe Front submitted a memorandum to ADC Sourav Sinha in the absence of Deputy Commissioner of Jamshedpur addressed the Governor, demanding a judicial inquiry into the murder from the CBI. During this, former Ghatshila MLA Laxman Tudu and BJP Jamshedpur metropolitan president Dinesh Kumar were present.

The party leaders said that there should be a CBI inquiry into the murder and 10 lakh compensation in the form of financial assistance should be given to the wife of the deceased, government job to the wife of the deceased, the government should bear the expenses of proper education of the three children, the state government should also ensure the safety of the family, the killer is hanged meet.

The memorandum said that the state government’s apathetic attitude towards the ruthless killing of a descendant of a tribal freedom fighter in Barheet, the constituency of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who spoke about tribal interests, is embarrassing the struggle and sacrifice of the agitators. Even after eighteen days after the incident, the state government is only making a report in the name of investigation. On such a serious matter, the police administration could not arrest the accused named for ten days for not registering an FIR for five days. While the self Murmu’s wife has mentioned the entire incident including the name of the accused in her statement. After all, under whose pressure is the police administration working.

District president Dinesh Kumar also condemned the attitude of the state government and said that with the JMM coming to power, there has been a rapid increase in criminal incidents in the state. Dinesh Kumar said that the administration’s role could not be trusted due to such a lax attitude of the police on the incident of the Chief Minister’s assembly constituency. On the occasion, Kaju Sandilya, Ramesh Hansda, Haladhar Narayan Sah, Vinod Singh, Amarjeet Singh Raja, Rakesh Singh, Chandmani Kunkal, Sanjay Singh Munda, Antu Mardi, Ramesh Baske, Ganesh Munda, Benji Pal, Sukhlal Gagrai, Sunil Bari, Upendranath Sardar, Vijay Soy, Janata Sardar, Bhushan Murmu, Santosh Sandilya, Pappu Nandi, Somnath Paul and other activists were present.
