BJP Jamshedpur holds meet with Tata Workers’ Union officials on New Labor Law

Jamshedpur: BJP held discussions with union officials on the passage of Industrial Relations and Occupational Safety, Health and Working Bill 2020. On Monday, BJP leaders led by Gunjan Yadav held talks with office-bearers of the Tata Workers’ Union and the Tata Motors Workers’ Union and urged them to make workers aware. State spokesperson cum former MLA Kunal Sarangi, who was present in the talks, said that under the new provisions of the Social Security Bill – 2020, people who will get jobs on fixed term basis, will also be entitled to get gratuity on the same day basis, that is, now completed five years. This means that those working on contract basis will get the benefit of gratuity along with their salary no matter how long the contract is.

The working period for women will be between 6 am to 7 pm. If work is being done after 7 pm, then the company will be responsible for safety. At the same time, Yadav said that the three bills passed by the central government to empower workers and protect their rights will benefit the workers greatly. It was said that Jamshedpur metropolis met union officials and discussed the bill positively. BJP workers are conducting awareness campaigns among laborers every day. During this, union officials assured cooperation related to awareness of the law in the interest of workers.
