Jamshedpur, Aug 6: The Golmuri unit of BJP today honoured Kar Sevak and Tuiladungri resident Amod Singh who was a part of the dedicated Hindu devotees that cleared the birthplace of Shri Ram to make way for the temple on December 6, 1992. The construction was launched today after Bhumi Pujan was performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Golmuri Mandal president Probir Chatterjee Rana along with former party Mahanagar president Dinesh Kumar, Mithilesh Singh Yadav and Khemlal Chowdhary today felicitated Kar Sevak Amod Singh at the unit�s office on Golmuri Main Road. Amod was garlanded at the office and presented a Safa (Saffron Turban signifying the BJP colour), Angvastram and a memento with a miniature scale model of the Ayodhya Shri Ram Mandir.
Recounting his experience, Kar Sevak Amod Singh stated, �People had come from all corners of the country. Apart from RSS and VHP members, hundreds of Ram Bhakts had collected and marched towards the disputed Babri Masjid site. We faced many obstacles on our way and that included baton charge. But we were gripped with superhuman zeal, excitement and the fire remained un-extinguished. We remained undeterred. Hundreds of years of struggle and sacrifices have resulted in this auspicious occasion when the foundation for the Shri Ram Temple has been laid.�
Others present on the occasion were Appa Rao, Ajay Singh, Ashok Samant, Saraswati Sahu, Sinu Rao, Mukesh Chowdhary, Prem Jha, Pappu Upadhyay, Amish Agrawal, Sudip Das, Satish Sharma, Ranjit Gupta, Satish Singh, Binod Gupta, Dipak Mukherjee, Rabindranath Ghosh, Jaideep Mukherjee, Narendra Singh and Dipak Pratap Singh.
