BJP Gears Up for Ghatshila By-Election: Shubhendu Adhikari to address rally, Mithun Chakraborty to lead roadshow

Jamshedpur, Oct 23: With the Ghatshila by-election scheduled for November 11, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has drawn up an aggressive ground-level campaign plan to consolidate support in the constituency.

The final day for election rallies and public meetings is set for November 9, and the party aims to mobilize its top leaders to energize the electorate.

BJP organization in-charge Abhay Singh revealed that prominent leaders from Jharkhand and West Bengal will campaign in Ghatshila. Bengal BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari, former IPS officer and national spokesperson Bharti Ghosh, central leaders Sukanta Majumdar, Locket Chatterjee, and Rani Mukherjee are scheduled to address public rallies.

Additionally, Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, will visit Ghatshila-Jadugoda to highlight ongoing and upcoming government development projects in the region.

The recent approval to open several new mines in Ghatshila is expected to be a key focus in these meetings.

Responding to local demands, film star and BJP supporter Mithun Chakraborty will participate in a roadshow across Ghatshila.

Notably, Chakraborty had also led a roadshow during the 2024 elections in support of Babulal Soren.

The BJP’s national election committee has announced a team of 40 star campaigners for the by-election.

This team includes Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, former Jharkhand Chief Ministers Babulal Marandi and Raghubar Das, leaders Arjun Munda, Champai Soren, Bidyut Baran Mahto, Aditya Sahu, Abhay Singh, and several other prominent figures.

The party’s strategy underscores its determination to strengthen its presence in Ghatshila through high-profile rallies, star-led campaigns, and development-focused messaging in the crucial lead-up to the polls.
