BJP �cyber army� to fight opposition�s social media war

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP has set up a team of cyber experts to counter negative publicity by Opposition parties. The experts would help formulate and implement strategy to win the social media war with the opposition parties in the run up to the 2019 elections.
A meeting of the social media and IT cell of BJP was held at the Sakchi office on Saturday. Addressing the meeting, district BJP president Dinesh Kumar said many regional parties and other opposition parties were misleading people through social media posts. The cyber experts of BJP would present the correct picture before the people and help them avoid such misleading posts, he said.
Kumar said the BJP leaders and supporters should maintain dignity and calm while posting on social media platforms.
Social media and IT cell assistant in-charge Vikram Chandrakar said a workshop would be held in the coming days for training party workers on effective use of social media platforms.
Those present at the meeting included Ankit Anand, Anand Jha, Prem Jha, Sonu Pathak, Abhishek Shukla, Neeraj Tiwary, Avinash Jha, Rakesh Sharma and Arbind Srivastava.
