Jamshedpur: District BJP spokesperson Ankit Anand on Friday accused Telco police officials of organizing peace committee meetings in an unauthorized manner.
He alleged that the officer in-charge of Telco PS Jayant Tirkey had organized one such meeting notwithstanding the fact that the local peace committee and Police Public Coordination Committee do not exist.
The two committees had been dissolved two years ago by the then SSP of East Singhbhum AV Homkar. Anand said the police officials should not only invite a handful of people to attend the said meeting.
He said many of the invitees to the meeting had a tainted background.
He said the district police authorities should make sure that the peace committee meeting is held in a proper manner.
