Jamshedpur : BJP candidate from Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat Vidyut Baran Mahto received a heroic welcome on his arrival in the city on Thursday. BJP party activities raised slogans in his favour and garlanded when he arrived at Sakchi.
Leaders of district BJP party along with hundreds of youth activists garlanded him and congratulated him for his success. On every corner activists were seen standing to express their gratitude.
�I am overwhelmed with the kind of support I have received from the supporters. People have faith in us and we will do everything for their welfare. The party activists should work with every dedication to spread party�s message,� he noted.
The former Bahragora MLA of the JMM, who was inducted into the BJP after he got the ticket for the prestigious Jamshedpur seat yesterday in New Delhi, received heroic welcome in the city.
�I am very impressed by Narendra Modi jee. I have full faith in his leadership and will work to ensure his victory,� noted Mahto, who was part of the JMM for decades.

Meanwhile, hundreds of party workers braved the scorching temperature to welcome Mahto. Vehicular movement came to standstill as excited BJP workers danced to the tunes of nagaras.
When questioned why he left the JMM, Mahto said he does not have any personal grievances with JMM leaders. �I feel that the party has lost his track. Despite being in the government, JMM never did anything for the families of martyrs and those who fought for a separate state,� he said.
According to him, JMM held agitation for a separate state but it was the BJP which paved way for creation of new state. There is a strong current in the country in favour of Modiji, who thinks development. I am highly impressed by Modiji�s style of leadership,� Mahto added.
Prior to this, BJP party activities raised slogans in his favour and garlanded when he arrived at Sakchi. Leaders of district unit along with hundreds of youth activists garlanded him and congratulated him for his success. Senior BJP leaders Raghubar Das and Saryu Roy were missing.
On the occasion BJP state spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale, Mahesh Chandra Sharma, Raj Kumar Srivastava , Chandrashekhar Mishra , Anil Modi , Ajay Srivastava , Abhay Singh Ujjain , Laxman Tudu , Ram Singh Munda , Dadu Hembram , Sujit Ambshta , Satish Singh , Kalyani Sharan, were present.
