Jamshedpur, Feb 3: Dirty drain water is flowing in front of Lotus Residency, a residential apartment in Mahavir Colony at Mango as the local civic body Mango Municipal Corporation is turning a deaf ear to resident’s complaint.
Bharatiya Janata Morcha (BJM), a party floated by Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy, has given an ultimatum to the Mango Municipal Corporation that if the dirty water flow is not stopped by February 4 then they will stage a dharna in front of the civic body office at Mango.
A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Morcha led by its leader Mukul Mishra inspected the spot at Mahavir Colony and listened to the complaints of the local residents about sewerage water flowing outside their residence due to clogging of the sewer line which is causing pungent smell and causing health hazard for the locals.
The locals also complained that they had intimated the civic body officials but no action has been taken to repair the sewer lines. The Morcha leaders threatened that if no action is taken then they would stage a dharna from February 5 at the civic body office.
