BIT Mesra hosts workshop on Nanotechnology and Heat Transfer

Ranchi: The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, organized a two-day workshop on heat transfer and characterization techniques of nanoparticles and nanofluids, funded by ANRF.

The workshop was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Indranil Manna, Dean of Faculty Affairs Dr. Ashok Sharan and HoD of Mechanical Engineering Dr. A.K. Roy. They highlighted the significance of nanotechnology in advancing modern research and applications.

Coordinated by Dr. Sushil Kumar Dhiman and his team, the program featured expert lectures and hands-on sessions. Renowned speakers including Dr. Gautam Sarkel, Dr. Arvind Kumar, Dr. S.K. Dhiman and Dr. Gayri Paul presented insights on nanoparticle characterization methods, enhanced heat transfer properties and thermal management applications of nanofluids.

The workshop provided a valuable platform for researchers, scholars and professionals to explore innovative avenues in nanotechnology and heat transfer, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
