Big win for JPS girls and ABM boys in RFYS football

Jamshedpur: Leading the high scoring trend, ABM College routed Mrs KMPM Vocational College 6-0 on the third day of the Jamshedpur leg of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports National Football Tournament at the Sumanth Moolgaonkar Stadium here on Tuesday.

A total of 13 goals were scored in three matches today while NML Kerala Public School got a walkover from Adivasi Plus II High School in the Junior Boys category.

Riding on two goals each by Ajay Jamuda and Bittu Mukhi, ABM College dished out a commanding display.

Ajay � who was later adjudged as player of the match � drew first blood in the 10th minute and backed it up with another goal in the 34th minute. Bittu Mukhi too scored twice in the 27th and 44th minutes while Sanjiv Honhaga and Rashid Khan chipped in with one goal each in the 40th and 58th minutes respectively.

In the Junior Girls category, Jamshedpur Public School (JPS), Baridih defeated SDSM Sidhgora 4-0 in yet another one-sided match.

Player of the match Prerna Kumari scored in the 47th and the 50th minutes. Reeya Gurung earlier opened the account for JPS in the 13th minute while Tasha enhanced the lead to 2-0 with a 27th minute strike.

In a junior boys qualifier at Tinplate Sports Complex ground, INCAB Kerala Public School tamed Hindustan Mitra Mandal High School 3-0

Sourav Mukhi scored two goals for INCAB in the 39th and 47th minutes while Dev Mukhi booted the third in the 57th minute.

The Jamshedpur city leg assumes special significance as the RFYS has tied up with the newly inducted Indian Super League (ISL) team Jamshedpur FC to scout and promote local talent at the grassroots level.

People�s Academy had routed St Roberts High School (Parsudih) 3-0 in a Junior Boys qualifier on Monday. It was inadvertently reported that St Roberts HS had won. The error is regretted.
