Mumbai, Dec 29 (IANS) Megastar Amitabh Bachchan wishes to use his stardom to eradicate more social issues and the latest in those lines are the plans to start a new campaign for infectious disease caused by the Hepatitis B virus (HBV).
The 72-year-old, who has been associated with Unicef as a Global Ambassador for polio eradication since 2005, took his concern for the disease to social media Monday, saying that he met doctors recently to plan strategies to cure it.
�Wish to start a campaign on awareness of Hepatitis B… Met some committed doctors and shall strategise… Detect and cured asap!,” Big B tweeted.
He will next be seen in �Shamitabh�, which is being directed by R. Balki. The film also stars Dhanush and debutante actress Akshara Haasan in pivotal roles. The film is expected to release Feb 6.
