Jamshedpur, July 29: The third national conference of Bharatiya Adivasi Bhumij Samaj was organized at Tribal Cultural Society, Sonari. Many dignitaries from Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha and Jharkhand participated in the programme which was inaugurated by Sourabh Roy, CSR head of Tata Steel. The chief guest of the concluding day ceremony was the MLA of Potka Menka Sardar. Other guests included Zila Parishad Bulurani Singh, TCS secretary Jiren Xavier Topno and former Zila Parishad member Dukhni Mai Sardar.
On the first day of the conference, a meeting of delegates was held while on the second day, the national working committee was reorganized. An open session was held on this day. Paiko Singh of Odisha was elected president while Ramnath Bhumij of Assam was elected executive president.
The participants include Sidheshwar Sardar, Jai Singh Bhumij, Tileshwar Bhumij, Sujata Singh, Harish Chandra Singh Bhumij, Sudarshan Bhumij and Devnath Sardar.
