Jamshedpur: A three day National Convention of Nikhil Bharat Bangya Sahitya Sammelan commenced today at the Sister Nivedita University campus in New Town, Kolkata.
The scope, uplift and propagation of the Bengali language were discussed in right earnest. During the program popular artiste from Jamshedpur, who is a poet, lyricist and Rabindra Sangit exponent Rajendra Sah Raj was honored by the organization�s national secretary Jayanta Ghosh with a corset and memento.
Rajendra Sah translates Rabindra Sangit to Bhojpuri. His demonstration of the art was highly appreciated by the audience.
The program was inaugurated by the organization�s national president and former President of India Pranab Mukherjee.
The honor and recognition awarded to Rajendra Sah Raj by Nikhil Bharat Bangiya Sahitya Sammelan, elated Jamshedpur�s senior writers that included Ajay Ojha, Puravi Ghosh, Satish Srivastav, Shankar Banerjee, Samir Haldar, Rupa Haldar, Satyajit Mishra, Vijay Bhushan, Jaikant Singh, Santosh Patel, Jai Shankar Gupta, Ashok Pathak Snehi, Veena Pandey Bharati, Shailendra Pandey Shail, Krishnendu Bagchi, Madhulekha Mehta, Nupur Goswami, Sumita Mitra, Chhaya Gupta, and Asama Goswami.
Rajendra Sah Raj is associated with many literary and cultural organizations in the city. He is a Sangit Visharad in Bangla Rabindra Sangit and since then has translated Tagore�s songs to Bhojpuri.
