Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP leaders paid rich tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary at a function held in Sunday Market, Birsanagar, on Thursday. Floral tributes were paid to the great martyr by the party leaders and other dignitaries.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion, district BJP president Dinesh Kumar said Bhagwan Birsa Munda was, is and will always remain a source of inspiration for the people across the country. The state government is working hard day and night to create a Jharkhand of Bhagwan Birsa�s dreams, he said.
Kumar said the Central and state governments were working on a war-footing to ensure the overall development of the tribal people of the state. He said it was a moment of pride for the people of the state as they were celebrating the birth anniversary of Jharkhand and its great son simultaneously.
The BJP leader congratulated the people of the state on the statehood day of Jharkhand. He said the state was a gift by the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to the people of Jharkhand.
Many people were present on the occasion. They included Mithilesh Singh Yadav, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Kulwant Singh Bunty, Vimal Kant Jha, Probir Chatterjee Rana, Pawan Agrawal, Kulwant Singh Bunty and Satya Prakash Singh.
