Jamshedpur, July 31: The mentally stressed students of Ghatsila-based private hostel Bethany House had lunch with the Police at Alcor Hotel in Bistupur, Jamshedpur, on Sunday.
The students were strained for the last one month since after the murder of a 10-year-old boy Ram Chandra Giri at the terrace of the hostel.
After the accused, senior students of the Christian missionary-run Irvine Adventist School were nabbed by the police, they brought the children to Jamshedpur. Children were counseled and were loaded with self confidence. Police wished for the bright future of the children.
At the event Rural SP Mohammed Arshi, Ghatsila SDPO Sanjeev Besra, DSP (CCR) Janchitha Karketta along with other senior police officers were present.
Earlier, local police organized a workshop for the students at Ghatsila police station. At the workshop Rural SP Mohammed Arshi advised the parents about the protection of their children and also informed the kids on how they should not get involved with students with criminal tendencies.
The students from whom information was taken related to the murder of Ram Chandra were brought to Jamshedpur.
It may be noted that a 10-year-old student of Ghatsila-based Irvine Adventist School, Ram Chandra Giri was killed atop the roof of a private hostel Bethany House on June 26. The victim was a Class-III student of the private English cradle located at Gopalpur in Ghatshila.
The double-storied hostel, Bethany House, where his body was found is located 3 km away from the school. The case was cracked on July 29, and two students of the same hostel were arrested.
One of them has been sent to remand home, while the other is behind bars.
