Beautification and park on the anvil at Jamshedpur’s Citu Talab

Jamshedpur, Mar 22: Tata Steel and IS&WP have jointly managed to beautify the Citu Talab.
Apart from the beautification work on the lake, a park would also be constructed to enhance the beauty of the lake. The park would boast of facilities for sitting, children’s amusement . The entire project is envisaged at Rs 1 crore. 
In the first phase, dirty water of the lake would be cleaned and de-silting work undertaken and garbage and stones cleaned from the floor of the lake. There is a hill on one side of the lake and there are plans to make an artificial hill on another end of the lake. 
Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy had inspected the lake on Sunday and told that as part of the beautification work the dirty water is being emptied and thereafter de-silting work would commence. The agency entrusted with the beautification work of the lake informed that there would also be facilities so that even during summer season there are water in the lakes and there would be separate corners for immersion of idols so that entire lake is not made dirty during immersion. There would also be fountains with lighting facilities during night.
Saryu Roy also advised the agency to start boating facility in the lake to attract tourist.
