Noamundi: The block development officer (BDO) of Noamundi, Amren Dang, held a meeting with panchayat secretaries and public representatives on Tuesday to discuss plans to provide 433 Indra Awas units to the underprivileged villagers following a village meeting.
The BDO said for Scheduled Caste 43 Indira Awas units were needed while for ST, minority and physically challenged people 216, 65 and 13and units are needed. For others, 95 Indira Awas units are to be built up.
Under Mukhya Mantri Sadak Yojna, PCC roads will be constructed in 11 Panchayats. For each panchayat 10 lakh rupees have been sanctioned. The block officials are waiting for applications from selected panchayats. The BDO said, �On the basis of a recent notice to the electricity department by National Rural Electricity Policies and Jharkhand Sarkar Panchayat Raj department, the villages which are still deprived of electricity should have access to electricity.�
The birth registration process for Noamundi Block will start on 12th June.
