Against disconnection of water supply
Jamshedpur : Activists of Basti Vikas Kalyan Samiti (BVKS) led by JVM leader Dulal Bhiuyan staged demonstration in front of the District Collectorate�s office on Monday in protest against the water supply to Chayanagar and Chandinagar being disconnected.
The party activists said that on 28 January a team of Jusco entered the area and without any notice cut twenty-five-year old water supply of this area.
They expressed angst that in this area around two thousand families reside and they are facing tough time because of this. People who reside out here are poor and holder of below poverty line card.
Though the residents on January 31 had sent a letter to the District Collectorate�s office but no action so far, left with no choice they are demonstrating in favour of their demands
