Jamshedpur, April 7: The 84th Basanti Puja of Goddess Durga commenced on Chaitra Navratri from Thursday organized by Sakchi Chenab Road Durga Kali Bari. Prayers commenced on Thursday evening. Shantanu Bose, General Secretary of Sakchi Chenab Road Durga Bari informed that Saptami Puja will commence from the morning of April 8. Consecrated food (Prasad) will be distributed among devotees after Pushpanjali. Maha Ashtami Puja will be performed on Saturday, April 9 with Pushpanjali followed by Prasad distribution. Maha Nawami puja will be performed on Sunday, April 10 morning. On April 11, Monday, the Dashami Puja will be performed after which, the idol of the deities will be immersed. Shantanu said that devotees attending Basanti Puja have been directed to use masks while attending the puja.
