Jamshedpur, Sept. 22 : Banks across the city will stay closed for five days from Thursday, September 28, to October 2 (Monday). According to information, banks will close from September 28 (asthami) � September 30 for Durga puja and October 1 a Sunday, the banks will be closed (Muharram is also on October 1) and again on October 2 is Gandhi Jayanti.
Due to the closure, some baking services might also get affected. ATM may run out of cash within two days after cash infusion. ATM users are advised to withdraw money well in advance to avoid last minute issues. With festivals around the corner, lot of financial transactions are carried out during the time.
Users wanting to get services like cheque clearance, transact cash should completed the transaction by Wednesday. September end has five bank holidays, which is rare occurrence.
Meanwhile, banks have promised consumers of hassle free services during the bank holidays.
