Jamshedpur, Nov 18: DBMS English School hosted Hindi elocution contest for students of KG II to Std XII on Friday.
A child requires an overall personality development and Elocution competition always helps a child to enhance his/ her public speaking skills.
Each contestant’s selection of poetry was exceptional and they tried to deliver it to the best of their ability. The oratory skills displayed by the participants were of the highest order. The contestants were very well prepared and their flawless rendition signified perfect diction, intonation and expression.
Judges for the contest were senior Hindi teachers-Shobha Mishra of Kerala Public School Kadma, Nisha Jha of Narbheram Hansraj English School and Rani Kumari of DBMS Kadma High School.
They encouraged the students and congratulated them on their oratory skills, their confidence level, memory power and also shared a few tips with the students on improving their public speaking skills.
The proud parents of the contestants graced the occasion.
In the category- Std. VI, VII & VIII the winner was Akansha Kriti, first runners-up was Aditya Poddar and second runner-up was Sonam Kumari.
In the category Std IX & X-Yuvraj Sethi was the winner followed by Shiksha Banka and Sweta Rani.
Banipreet Kaur was the winner in category Std XI & XII. Shristi Varma was the first runner-up followed by Saptaswa Dasgupta.
The prize was distributed by the Chairpersons B Chandrashekhar and Lalitha Chandrashekhar, Secretary, Archana Ramesh, Joint- Secretary, Priya Nagarajan, Treasurer Lalitha Seshadri, Principal Rajani Shekhar.
