Bandobasti of 10 liquor shops completed

Jamshedpur: Bandobasti (settlement) of 10 liquor shops took place in the third phase on Monday in the city for the current financial year 2014-15.

There was one applicant each in four groups. Three persons had applied for one country-made and one foreign liquor shop licence in Khasmahal in group 18. Licences of both shops were given to Anil Kishore through lottery.

The bandobasti took place in the presence of the deputy commissioner Dr Amitabh Kaushal. The government has received revenue of Rs 37.20 lakh from the bandobasti.

There are four country-liquor shops, four foreign and two composite shops. The bandobasti took place in three phases for 125 shops.

Now 40 more liquor shops remain to be settled. There are a total of 165 liquor shops in the city out of which 95 are foreign liquor shops, 55 country-made and 15 composite liquor shops.
