Ranchi, Dec 1: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has instructed the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of districts to take swift action and ban the illegal sand and lottery businesses across the state. This directive follows the recent social media reports of illegal sand transportation in Bokaro.
“I have directed the District Deputy Commissioners to immediately take action and ban the illegal sand and lottery businesses,” said Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
The Chief Minister expressed his concern over the increasing instances of illegal activities, emphasizing the need for immediate intervention by local authorities. The DCs of other districts have also been urged to take proactive measures to curb such illegal activities.
In addition, the Chief Minister has asked the Dumka DC to address the growing issue of illegal lottery businesses that are negatively impacting local youth. Social media reports highlighted how youth in Dumka are falling prey to these banned lotteries, losing their hard-earned money and time in the hope of becoming wealthy overnight.
“The illegal lottery business in Dumka is ruining the youth, and we cannot allow this to continue,” the CM added.
