Jamshedpur, June 4: The recent train accident in Balasore is causing significant disruptions for passengers traveling from Tatanagar Station. The non-operation of passenger trains to Balasore is leading to considerable inconvenience for commuters. Although the Railways have arranged a special train on Sunday, passengers from Tatanagar Station were unable to avail its benefits. As a result of the Balasore train accident, several outstation trains are being diverted through Tatanagar Station, adding to the burden and creating challenges for passengers.

Tatanagar Station already faces platform congestion, and the influx of additional trains has exacerbated the situation. Passengers are encountering difficulties as trains are arriving on platforms different from the ones designated in the announcements. The frequent platform changes are causing inconvenience and confusion for railway passengers who need to navigate the station quickly. Railway officials and staff at Tatanagar Station are also grappling with the situation, while a substantial crowd of passengers has gathered at the inquiry center seeking assistance. In response to the tragedy, the Railways have organized a special train between Howrah and Balasore to transport the bodies of the deceased. Passengers returning home after medical treatment are also being accommodated on these special trains, which have scheduled stops at all stations along the route. However, the disruption in train services between Hijli and Balasore has resulted in a complete suspension of passenger train operations along a stretch of 175 kilometers. The Railways have initiated repair work on the affected railway line and have started operating a special train between Howrah and Balasore since Saturday evening. On Sunday, an additional pair of trains commenced their service between Howrah and Balasore to mitigate the impact of the disrupted train services.
