Baiju Mukhi tenders resignation from All Jharkhand Mukhi Samaj

Jamshedpur: The executive president of All Jharkhand Mukhi Samaj (AJMS) Baiju Mukhi chaired a meeting at the Mukhi Samaj camp office in TR Type Bistupur. In the meeting Baiju Mukhi tendered his resignation from the post of executive president of AJMS addressed to state president Mangal Ram to to state general secretary Hari Mukhi.

The other executives who tendered their resignations along with Baiju Mukhi were AJMS state vice president Munnu Birnet, state secretary Naresh Benudhar, chief advisor BK Nayak and state working committee member Bhagirathi Mukhi.

Opening up on his decision to resign, Baiju Mukhi stated that AJMS was not being allowed to function independently. He accused the AJMS president and former legislator Mangal Ram of making the Mukhi Samaj family dominated and his family members impeded free functioning of the state organization. He said, �The president objects to meetings or events organized without the inclusion of his family members. When the state executives of AJMS demanded election of the body in an united voice, Mangal ram�s family members said that Mangal Ram was the AJMS president and he will remain thus in future too. The Mukhi Samaj is not the personal domain of any family. We have given Mangal Ram to lead the party through 30 years but since his health conditions are not good the state committee has been demanding a fresh election for the state president�s post.�

Baiju further claimed that Mangal Ram was neither resigning from the post nor allowing the AJMS to hold election for the chair. �Under such circumstances, remaining in the committee would be betraying the interests of the community and that is why I have tendered my resignation along with my executive colleagues,� he said.
