Baharagora villagers demand closure of liquor shop

Jamshedpur: A group of villagers led by Baharagora MLA Kunal Sarangi took out a procession in a residential area of Baharagora to oppose opening of government liquor shop. The villagers put up a demonstration, demanding closure of the said shop in the larger interest of public health. Local Congress, AJSU and JMM leaders supported the agitation. A large number of women participated in the agitation. The MLA talked to DC Amit Kumar to demand closure of the liquor shop. Kumar assured the legislator to form a committee to sort out the issue. A memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Raghubar Das was handed over to the excise department authorities on the occasion.
