Jamshedpur, December 7: As part of the Bagless Day initiative, Class VI students of Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) participated in an eco-friendly planter-making activity using coconut shells. The activity aimed to develop students’ gardening skills and raise awareness about soil conservation.
Teachers guided the students on the importance of soil conservation and the reuse of natural materials. Using eco-friendly resources such as coconut shells, jute strings, and seeds of fruits and vegetables, the students created planters, which they decorated with eco-friendly paints.
The interactive session also included discussions, where students shared their ideas and opinions, fostering creativity and environmental consciousness. The activity enhanced their concentration and provided an opportunity for recreation and skill-building.
The initiative was successfully executed under the encouragement and guidance of Principal Nandini Shukla and Vice Principals Rina Banerjee, Sujata Singh, and A.L. Abraham, making it a memorable learning experience for the students.
