Bad weather spoils Basti Vikas Samiti�s plan to felicitate CM

Outfit members felicitate CM at his Agrico residence

Jamshedpur: Bad weather led Basti Vikas Samiti members to make last minute changes in their plan to felicitate Chief Minister Raghubar Das at Agrico Transport ground. With the stormy rain playing spoilsport, the organizers felicitated the CM at his Agrico residence and thanked him for announcing lease bandobasti for the occupants of government land across the city.

Sources said the organizers had made elaborate arrangements for the event. The tents, LCDs and banners at the stage were blown away by the strong winds. As per the plan, the CM was scheduled to arrive in the city at 5 pm.

But the rain and storm started wreaking havoc from 4 pm onwards. This led the organizers to plan the felicitation in a modest way at the CM�s Agrico residence.

Sources said the CM�s helicopter could not take off from Ranchi at the scheduled time due to bad weather. As a result, the CM decided reach Jamshedpur by road. He reached here late evening.
