Jamshedpur: Jharkhand government has issued a directive to the Deputy Commissioners of all districts of the state to conduct a survey of backward castes (Scheduled) and extremely backward castes (Scheduled) with the view to determine the reservation percentage for them in government jobs and admission in academic institutions. The survey is to be conducted in a month, sources said.
According to sources, the survey would be conducted in every village and ward of rural and urban areas. The order has been issued by the Additional Chief Secretary (Finance).
