Ranchi: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi today demanded a high-level probe into the Shikaripara Naxalite attack incident by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and National Investigation Agency (NIA) while condemning the incident.
Speaking to scribes in Dumka on Friday, Marandi alleged that district administration had not taken adequate security measures during election in Dumka under pressure of the state government. He said paramilitary forces should have been deployed in Dumka.
He said the death of eight persons was the result of government�s negligence. He said the state government and the district administration were to be blamed for the incident.
�The CBI and NIA should investigate into the killings. All administrative and police officials should be kept aloof from election duty,� said Marandi.
