Jamshedpur: Tata Steel vice-president (iron making) B.K. Das unfurled the national flag at Jamshedpur steel works.
Addressing the gathering, Das appreciated on the present government, and said that India was marching towards becoming the fastest growing economy in the world.
“Tata Steel’s mega project at Kalinganagar in Odisha is on track. The company will continue to help the nation in its march ahead,” he added.
According to Tata Steel sources, managing director T.V. Narendran could not turn up for the Independence Day function as he was down with viral fever.
