BJP holds free health camp on Vajpayee’s birth anniversary

Jamshedpur, Dec 25: Former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee made great contributions to the country and the state of Jharkhand. His achievements cannot be obliterated in many centuries to come. This was observed by former Chief Minister and BJP national vice president Raghubar Das during a programme organized at Gudiya Maidan, Zone No. 1, Birsanagar, to mark the 98^th birth anniversary of late Vajpayee. A free health check-up camp was also organized on this occasion under the aegis of Jamshedpur Mahanagar Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. Free medicines were dispensed to patients.

In his address, Das said the ex-PM had strengthened the nation by leading the nation during Pokhran nuclear tests. Vajpayee also gave the slogan ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan’ to lead the country further on the path of development, he said.

Das further said that the BJP and its youth wing BJYM regularly organized such public welfare events for the benefit of the people of the city. He praised the BJYM workers for their good work and asked them to continue it.

Also present on the occasion were the MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato and former MLA of Potka Menka Sardar. The two along with other party leaders paid tributes to late Vajpayee at the beginning of the programme.

The MP said late Vajpayee had no foes despite being in politics and that he had made the country truly great through his many unparalleled initiatives.

The party leaders distributed blankets among over 1500 people in view of the plummeting mercury levels.

District BJYM president Amit Agrawal earlier welcomed all guests and paid tributes to late Vajpayee.
