Children Showcase Talent at Aspire’s Bal Mela in Chaibasa

Chaibasa: A vibrant Bal Mela was organised by Aspire Foundation at the Residential Bridge Course Centre located in Barkela under Sadar Block, bringing together students, educators, and community representatives for a day of creativity and celebration.

The event was graced by District Council Member Lalamuni Purti and Block Development Officer (BDO) Amitabh Bhagat, who encouraged the children and appreciated the organisation’s sustained efforts toward educational upliftment. Various games and competitions were conducted during the mela, with students enthusiastically participating and confidently showcasing their hidden talents.

Addressing the gathering, BDO Amitabh Bhagat lauded Aspire Foundation for implementing meaningful programmes aimed at the academic and overall development of children. He assured that the Block Development Office would extend all necessary support to the organisation whenever required. He further announced that steps would be taken to facilitate the issuance of birth certificates for the children of the centre and to link them with suitable scholarship schemes.

District Council Member Lalamuni Purti praised the initiative, stating that the Bal Mela provided an excellent platform for nurturing children’s innate abilities. She particularly appreciated the students’ clay models, rangoli designs, and art and craft creations. Urging children to stay away from excessive mobile phone and video usage, she encouraged them to focus on honing their natural talents.

Among those present on the occasion were Panchayat Samiti Member Dinesh Munda of Simbiya, village heads of Singijari and Jojohatu, the in-charge of Krishna Ballabh Uvi, Aspire State Coordinator Upendra Dandsena, Regional Coordinator R.V. Ramanna, Gurucharan Banra, Raydas Oraon, Salina Hansda, Vikas Nag, Abhiraj Sundi, and a large number of parents.
