Asha Kiran students painting exhibition opens in Telco Club

Jamshedpur, March 23: A two-day exhibition of paintings by special children of Asha Kiran School was inaugurated at Telco Club on Monday by Prasann K Chobe, Sr Vice President, Head Mfg Opns-CVBU, and AB Lall, Head, Jamshedpur Plant, Tata Motors Ltd.

Asha Kiran School is a unique CSR initiative by Tata Motors, wherein special children are imparted life skills and tailored academic training.

Thereafter, they are given further vocational training in the associated institution START (Society for Technical Assistance and Remedial Teaching).

Both institutions operate under the management of AIWC (GCB). The exhibited works have been created by 14 to 18 year old children, who have qualified for a national level contest called ‘Special Art of India’.

The contest is held annually under the aegis of ‘Very Special Arts India’ (VSAI), New Delhi,a non-profit organization working with special children in India.

Established in 1986, the motto of the organization is “No mental or physical challenge need ever limit the human potential to create and excel”.
